Places that take developer tools: 14 checked against their own pages

14 places specific to developer tools: technical newsletters you pitch by email (6 of them), API and tool lists, and developer communities. Newsletter editors pick what they feature, so a short, factual pitch with a link works better than marketing copy. Developer tools also fit every general directory.

How this list is made

How each entry is checked. For every directory we load its own pages: the submit form, the sign-in page, the terms, the pricing page, and its stated review time. The pages loaded are listed for each entry in the JSON download (evidence_urls), and each entry shows the date it was last verified. We re-check entries at least quarterly, and sooner when a directory changes. When something can't be confirmed on the site's own pages, the value is "unknown", "not stated" or "unclear"; we don't guess.

Columns. Cost is the cheapest way to get listed: free, free with paid upgrades, or paid only, with the cheapest published price. Link is dofollow or nofollow only when the site says so for its default tier or we saw it on a live listing; otherwise it's unknown. Accepts submissions on a founder's behalf is "Yes" when the terms, docs or submit form allow submitting a product you don't own (an authorised representative, an agency, or a community suggestion), "No" when the terms forbid it, and "Unclear" when they're silent. Captcha is "Yes" when a captcha widget appears on the submit or sign-up form, "Likely" when a site-wide bot check or a captcha script loads. Founder-only means the community expects the maker to post personally.

What isn't here. Sites that were dead, parked or unreachable when checked; sites that no longer accept listings; adult, gambling and "nudify" directories; and link schemes (sites that sell links or require a reciprocal backlink to list you). We also leave out third-party "domain rating" estimates, because we can't verify them.

Disclosure. We run ShipNList, which sells the Launch Pack: a pre-written pack for these directories, with submissions done for you where a directory allows it. This list is free and complete either way. It includes every directory we checked, including the ones we can't submit to for you, and it contains no affiliate links.

Licence. The list and the JSON download are published under CC BY 4.0. You may copy, adapt, and republish them, including commercially, if you credit "ShipNList directory list (shipnlist.com/directories)" with a link to the list.

If you'd rather not do this yourself: the Launch Pack turns this list into a ranked, pre-written pack for your product, and submits for you where a directory allows it.
